This Privacy Policy explains how Rafael Raudry ("I", "me", "my") collects, uses, and protects personal information through this website (coach-rafael.com). It applies to all visitors regardless of where you are located, and is written to comply with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), UK GDPR, and California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA).
This policy covers the website only. If you enter into a coaching relationship with me, a separate Coaching Services Agreement and Privacy Notice govern how your session data and personal records are handled.
1. Who I Am
Rafael Raudry is a National Board Certified Health and Wellness Coach (NBC-HWC) operating as a sole proprietor under his own name, trading as coach-rafael.com. I am the data controller for personal information collected through this website.

2. What Information This Website Collects
This website collects two types of information:
• Contact form submissions: your name, email address, and the content of your message
• Booking information: when you schedule through the Acuity embed on the Schedule page, Acuity collects your name, email, and appointment details
• Payment information: when you pay for a session, Stripe collects your payment details. I never see or store your card number — Stripe handles this entirely
• Squarespace, which hosts this website, collects standard technical data including your IP address, browser type, pages visited, and session duration for site functionality and optional analytics
• Cookies set by Squarespace, Acuity, and Stripe (see Section 5 for full details)
I do not use advertising trackers, social media pixels, or behavioral profiling tools on this website.
3. How Your Information Is Used
Information collected through this website is used only for the following purposes:
• Responding to contact form inquiries
• Facilitating session bookings made through Acuity
• Processing payments securely via Stripe
• Understanding basic website traffic through Squarespace Analytics (only if you have consented via the cookie banner)
• Complying with legal obligations if required
Your information is never sold, rented, or shared with third parties for marketing purposes.
4. Lawful Basis for Processing (GDPR)
For visitors from the EU and UK, personal data is processed on the following lawful bases:
• Contractual necessity: processing your booking or payment details to facilitate a service you have requested
• Legitimate interests: responding to contact form inquiries you initiated
• Consent: Squarespace Analytics cookies are only set after you accept via the cookie consent banner

NOTE FOR SQUARESPACE SETUP: Enable the cookie consent banner under Settings > Website Tools > Cookies & Data Privacy. Set Non-essential cookies to 'Restricted' so Squarespace Analytics cookies are blocked until a visitor consents. This is required for GDPR compliance and should be done before publishing this policy.
6. Third-Party Services
This website uses the following third-party services that may process your personal data under their own privacy policies:
Squarespace hosts this website and provides site analytics. Squarespace may process visitor data including IP addresses on servers located in the United States. Privacy policy: squarespace.com/privacy
Acuity Scheduling (a Squarespace company) powers the booking calendar on the Schedule page. When you book a session, Acuity collects your name, email, and appointment details. Privacy policy: acuityscheduling.com/privacy-policy
Stripe processes all payments. Stripe is PCI-DSS compliant and handles your payment details directly — I never have access to your full card number. Privacy policy: stripe.com/privacy
All three services operate under their own GDPR and data protection compliance frameworks. I do not control how these third parties process data beyond what is described in their respective policies.
7. Data Storage and International Transfers
This website is operated from California, United States. The third-party services used (Squarespace, Acuity, Stripe) store and process data on servers located in the United States.
If you are visiting from the EU or UK, your data may be transferred to and processed in the US. Squarespace, Acuity, and Stripe all maintain Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) or equivalent mechanisms to ensure lawful cross-border data transfers under GDPR and UK GDPR.
Contact form submissions and booking inquiries are reviewed by me directly and are not stored in any cloud platform — only on my local, encrypted device, consistent with the data handling practices described in my separate Privacy Notice for coaching clients.
8. How Long Data Is Retained
• Contact form submissions: retained only as long as needed to respond to your inquiry, then deleted
• Booking records: retained by Acuity per their own policy; session-related records I hold personally are governed by my coaching client Privacy Notice
• Payment records: retained by Stripe per their policy; I retain transaction records for tax purposes as required by US law (typically 7 years)
• Analytics data (if consented): processed by Squarespace per their data retention policy
9. Your Rights
Depending on where you are located, you have rights regarding your personal data. To exercise any of these, email support@coach-rafael.com. I will respond within 30 days.
• Access: request a copy of the personal data I hold about you
• Correction: ask me to correct inaccurate information
• Deletion: ask me to delete your personal data where I am the data controller (note: data held by Squarespace, Acuity, or Stripe must be requested directly from them)
• Objection: object to how your data is being used
• Restriction: ask me to limit how I use your data while a request is being handled
• Portability: request your data in a portable format
• Withdraw consent: if you have consented to analytics cookies, you can withdraw consent at any time via the cookie banner
EU clients: you have the right to lodge a complaint with your national data protection authority (e.g. German BfDI, Swedish IMY).
UK clients: you may contact the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
California residents: you have additional rights under the CCPA, including the right to know what personal information is collected and the right to non-discrimination for exercising your rights. I do not sell personal information.
10. Children's Privacy
This website is not directed at children under the age of 13, and I do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has submitted information through this site, please contact me at support@coach-rafael.com and I will delete it promptly.
11. External Links
This website contains a link to my TikTok profile (@coach_rafael_). Once you leave this website, this Privacy Policy no longer applies. TikTok has its own privacy policy that governs your use of their platform.

This policy may be updated from time to time to reflect changes in how the website operates or to comply with evolving legal requirements. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will reflect any changes. For material changes, I will post a notice on the website.
